One of they key ingredients in creating the lovely, emotional images you see in our wedding gallery is the rapport Gareth creates with his couples. Gareth invests a lot of time creating this rapport before the wedding, including a pre-wedding consultation and photoshoot at the wedding venue. Over a coffee at the wedding venue we discuss ideas, look at inspirational images and plan the photography into the day to minimise time away from guests. A key part of the consultation is pre-wedding shoot. Since we’re meeting at the venue, we can walk around, discuss ideas and try out them out. This gives Gareth instant feedback on what styles appeal to you and how best to use the location to give you the stunning images you’ll love. It also gives a chance to experiment and try new ideas away from the time pressures of the wedding day itself. Gareth uses this approach in all his wedding photography in Surrey and other locations in the South East as it allows even the most nervous and camera shy to really shine and look their best on their wedding day.

Gareth’s coverage on the wedding day starts with bridal preparations in the morning and goes through to the start of your wedding breakfast. Optionally coverage can be extended to the speeches and first dance.

Portrait Photography

Gareth’s portrait photography takes place away from the studio and on location throughout Surrey, Kent and Sussex. Examples of portrait photography in Surrey can be seen in our portrait gallery. All images in our gallery were taken on location in our clients homes and at local parks and beauty spots. This gives the images a lovely, natural feel not possible in a studio. Surrey, Sussex and Kent are ideal for portrait photography, offering a variety of beautiful locations. Our portrait sessions are very low key and feel more like a pleasant walk than a photo shoot. This is ideal for children or anyone who is self-conscious in front of the camera. It also allows us endless opportunities to entertain children and catch natural expressions as they interact with their environment.

Our photo-shoots usually start at your home with a relaxed chat over a coffee to discuss what you’re looking for. We’ll often take images while at your home as most people, particularly children, feel comfortable in this environment. We then move on to a local park, beauty spot or perhaps somewhere more urban for teenagers. Portrait photography in Surrey, Sussex and Kent is a delight as these counties offer so much variety in their landscapes and through the changing seasons.
